Visual Instruction System
Motion Analysis Software

The Visual Instruction System, or VIS, is software that allows you to use standard video with a computer to analyze motion.  You can look at the video a frame at a time, in time-lapse, compare it with other video clips, draw on it, measure angles and create meaningful output to communicate with your students.  VIS is also useful for individual who desire to study their own performance for understanding and improvement.

The Visual Instruction System has evolved since its conception in 1992 with input from its users. The primary concept behind VIS is that students and athletes don't want to watch their coach run a computer - they want to improve their skill. With this in mind, VIS had been developed so that you, the professional coach or instructor, can visually communicate with your student to facilitate improvement, without the computer becoming a centerpiece of the session.  VIS is designed around communicating and teaching - not computing!

This web site is designed to explain the features of VIS and to also show you how many professionals use it. Check us out and we hope to be hearing from you!
